Design-build is a way of delivering a project, this methd being used in the construction industry. The method involves delivering a project in which the design and construction services have been contracted or agreed to be done by an individual called the design–builder or design–build contractor i.e. the design-build team works under a single contract with the project owner to provide design and construction services. One entity and one contract means one unified flow of work from initial concept through to the completion of the project. Other names for design-build are design/construct and single-source responsibility. Design–build relies on one party/ individual for the responsibility of the contract as well as to streamline and reduce the delivery schedule by overlapping the design and construction phases of a project.
